  • Patent number: 7228892
Abstract: Method and device for providing a plate heat exchanger (1) having a number of corrugated plates (2). Between the corrugated plates (2) first and second flow channels (7, 8) are arranged, which first flow channels (7), via first inlet openings (11) and first outlet openings (12), are connected essentially parallel to in-going and out-going junction channels (13, 14). The plates (2) are fitted to each other in pairs, forming cells (15) including an inner spacing element (16) welded to and between the plates, and outer spacing elements (17) welded to the plates (2) on the sides of the plates (2) facing away from each other, along at least two of the edge parts (3–6). The cells (15) are stacked against each other and joined together by welding of the outer spacing elements (17), and in that said in-going and out-going junction channels (13, 14) are welded to said first inlet openings (11) and first outlet openings (12) respectively.

  • Publication number: 20040226692
Abstract: Device for a heat exchanger (1), preferably for co-operation with a gas turbine, where the heat exchanger includes flow channels and a heat emitting medium (6) flows through every alternate channel and a heat absorbing medium (7) flows through every other alternate channel. A collecting channel (4) is connected to an outlet section of a combined inlet and outlet pipe joint (2, 3) for the heat emitting and absorbing media (6, 7) via a pipe section. The pipe section has a substantially straight section (10, 13) including at least one straight sub-section where a first sub-section (10) is deformable both in its axial direction and in all directions transverse to the axial direction. A partially curved second sub-section (11, 21) is included and the pipe section has a central load-absorbing-through element (14) attached at ends (14a, 14b) to the outer side of the pipe section.

  • Publication number: 20040104009
Abstract: Pipe connection for heat exchangers (1) having a number of corrugated plates, where each plate has a first edge part opposite a second edge part and a third edge part opposite a fourth edge part, between which corrugated plates there are provided first and second flow channels. A heat-emitting medium (6) flows through every alternate channel and a heat absorbing medium (7) flows through every other alternate channel. A collecting channel (8) is provided having a diverging cross-section for the heat-emitting medium (6) and is placed at one side of the heat exchanger and connected to an inlet section of a combined inlet and outlet pipe joint (2, 3) for the heat emitting and heat absorbing media. An outgoing collection channel (4) for the heat-absorbing medium (7) is arranged on the same side of the heat exchanger and connected to an outlet section of the inlet and outlet pipe joint (2, 3).

  • Patent number: 6067839
Abstract: The invention relates to a method for mounting a fastener element (1), such as a screw or a nut, in a component (2). The fastener element (1) is provided with a deformable, cylindrical portion (3) which has an axis of symmetry. The cylindrical portion (3) is inserted in a through-hole (4) in the component (2), whereafter the cylindrical portion (3) is deformed in its longitudinal direction by means of a compressive force, so that the length of the cylindrical portion (3) is reduced. By causing the fastener element to rotate at a predetermined rotational speed so that frictional heat is generated between the contact surfaces of the fastener element (1) and the component (2), there is created a combined rivet and frictional welding joint between the fastener element (1) and the component (2). The invention also relates to a tool for mounting the fastener element in accordance with the method.
