  • Patent number: 8131413
Abstract: An electric motor and conversion system includes a direct current power source, a rotor with two sides and two series of permanent magnets alternating in polarity, two stators on opposing sides of the rotor where each stator has a series of winding coils, magnet position identifiers, and a control system comprising a sensor that cooperates with the magnet position identifiers and a microcontroller to individually controls winding drivers. Preferably, the number of magnets on the rotor does not equal the number of winding coils on the stators. Also preferably, the magnet position identifiers are a series of apertures on the rotor through which signals pass. The conversion system can also include connectors for connecting to an axle, a removable throttle, and electric cables for electrically connecting the components.

  • Publication number: 20090157630
Abstract: A method of recommending and generating visual displays of data by executing a visualization tool that operates as part of a comprehensive Web-based computing platform can be accessed via a website, customizable interface, email, telephone, or other remote communication device. The visualization tool operates by accessing the data source and then executing an analysis engine to parse numerical and other forms of data. If necessary, a data mining tool can also be used to download data and a semantic template editor can be used to generate a template for parsing any type of data. The data and data format are identified, and the visualization tool executes a recommendation engine that considers the data and data format and recommends suitable visual display styles and visual display options and recommends additional compatible algorithms. Additionally, users can provide their own compatible algorithms for data processing. The user then selects one or more display styles or graphs and display options.

  • Publication number: 20090082914
Abstract: An electric motor and conversion system converts a manually powered vehicle such as a bicycle to an electric vehicle. The electric motor includes a direct current power source, a rotor with two sides and two series of permanent magnets alternating in polarity, two stators on opposing sides of the rotor where each stator has a series of winding coils, magnet position identifiers, and a control system. The rotor and stators are generally annular with a gap that enables the motor to be installed on the rear axle of a bicycle near the rear wheel. Preferably, the number of magnets on the rotor does not equal the number of winding coils on the stators. The control system includes a sensor that records input from the magnet position identifiers and a microcontroller to process the input and to individually control winding drivers to precisely regulate the operation of the motor in response to the input.

  • Publication number: 20010044867
Abstract: The disclosure relates to a hierarchical PCI (peripheral component interconnect) bus architecture, particularly to a hierarchical PCI bus architecture applied to the VOD (video on demand) system in an Ethernet Network. The architecture includes a plurality of PCI banks, at least a SCSI bank, and a plurality of PCI bridges. Each PCI bank connects a logic processor via at least one PCI bridge, also connects the SCSI bank via at least one PCI bridge. The logic processor receives video demand signals from users, and sends a service command block to the SCSI bank, for the SCSI bank to retrieve, according to the service command block and from a data storage bank, the video data demanded by the users, and sends the demanded video data to a memory of a PCI bank, so that the demanded video data is transmitted by the PCI bank from the memory to users via a network.
