  • Patent number: 11207140
Abstract: An ultrasound-enabled invasive medical device and a method of manufacturing the ultrasound-enabled invasive medical device. The ultrasound-enabled invasive medical device includes an invasive medical device, an electrical trace deposited either directly on the surface of the invasive medical device or onto an insulating layer covering at least a portion of the surface of the invasive medical device, where the electrical trace is deposited during an additive manufacturing process. The ultrasound-enabled invasive medical device includes an ultrasound transducer assembly attached to the invasive medical device and electrically connected to the electrical trace, and a transducer support structure attached to the invasive medical device, where the transducer support structure defines a nest that is adapted to receive the ultrasound transducer assembly.

  • Patent number: 11029400
Abstract: Various methods and systems are provided for maintaining polarization of an ultrasound probe and increasing image quality of an image generated during an imaging procedure. As one example, a method for an ultrasound imaging system may include executing one or more imaging sequences with an ultrasound transducer; and applying a repolarization sequence to the ultrasound transducer one or more of before, after, and interleaved between the one or more imaging sequences, where the repolarization sequence is separate from the one or more imaging sequences.

Date of Patent: June 8, 2021
    Assignee: General Electric Company
Inventors: Maxence Borot, Alan Tai, Edouard dacruz, Flavien Daloz, Fan Zheng, Jeremie Barrel, Frederic Lanteri
  • Patent number: 10933254
Abstract: The invention relates to a delivery assistance device for assisting in a brachytherapy procedure. The invention provides for an output of an optimized treatment plan, taking into considering the portions of the procedure already carried out. The invention provides for an update of the sequence and the dosing after, for example, each needle insertion. The sequence of the treatment plan is determined such that, for example, steps of the procedure in which an error may have a larger impact, which needs to be corrected by modifying later steps, are provided earlier than steps in which an error is less likely and/or may have a lesser impact.

  • Publication number: 20130269933
Abstract: Embodiments relate to a method for recovering hydrocarbons from a formation including collecting a formation sample, forming the sample into particles, exposing the sample to a cleaning fluid, and analyzing the sample. Embodiments also relate to a method for recovering hydrocarbons from a formation including the steps of collecting a formation sample, first exposing the sample to a cleaning fluid, forming the sample into particles, exposing the sample to a second cleaning fluid and analyzing the sample.
