  • Patent number: 10908800
Abstract: A system and a method are disclosed for identifying features in a geographic area captured by a sensor. A server transmits computer readable instructions to a client device to cause the client device to display a first graphical element including data entry user interface elements for inputting one or more parameters. The server receives one or more data inputs corresponding to the one or more parameters. In response to receipt of the data inputs, the server transmits computer readable instructions to cause the client device to display a timeline graphical user interface element identifying detections of a feature in data captured for the geographic area. The data captured for the geographic area is selected based on the identified parameters and the timeline graphical user interface is segment into multiple display elements based on the identified parameters.

  • Patent number: 7213167
Abstract: A mechanism for providing one or more passive state machines behaving in the same manner as an active state machine so that one of the passive machines will take over operation from the active machine if the active machine becomes inoperative. The active machine, in addition to responding to each excitation, sends the same excitation to a first passive machine, which accumulates the excitations and waits until the expiration of a first time T1 to “pseudo” respond to the excitation. That is, the first passive machine responds to excitations as does the active machine, but its responses are discarded.

  • Publication number: 20050119923
Abstract: A system and method for computing a value movement forecast for a financial measure collects publications related to the financial measure. Keyword expressions related to the financial measure are obtained. Linguistic analysis is performed on the publications to identify significant word expressions from the publications, identify characteristic variables based on predetermined characteristics of the keyword expressions and the significant word expressions, and compute values for the characteristic variables based on the predetermined characteristics of the keyword expressions and significant word expressions. A forecasting function is created based on the characteristic variables and the values. Values for the characteristic variables are then computed by performing linguistic analysis on another set of publications, and the forecasting function is evaluated on these values to compute the value movement forecast for the financial measure.

  • Patent number: 6477164
Abstract: A system and method is disclosed for real-time data and voice transmission over an internet network. A PSTN voice packet is received and digitized at a network gateway. A destination gateway and destination transmux is identified and a destination gateway address and a destination transmux address are appended to the digitized voice packet. The voice packet is received at an originating transmux and broken into gateway subpackets. The gateway subpackets are aggregated and the destination transmux address is removed from the gateway subpackets. The transmux voice packets are then transmitted over the network to a destination transmux, where they are broken into transmux subpackets. The subpackets are sorted and aggregated by a destination gateway address, and the destination gateway addresses are then removed. Voice packets are received from the destination transmux by a destination gateway and converted to analog voice packets and transmitted to a destination PSTN.

  • Patent number: 5963620
Abstract: An integrated communications control device integrates the telecommunications environment of a small office with an interface to the telephone network. The device is a stand alone unit including a programmable control processor configured by a user based on the telephonic equipment within the office and the user's needs. The device is utilized to control telephone and data communications within the office. The device interfaces with a computer allowing the user to configure the system and create a customized telephonic environment using the personal computer. Alternatively, the device may be integrated into the PC with a plug-in card. Standard telephone interfaces are provided for interfacing to telephonic equipment such as telephones, modems and facsimile machines. Additionally, an ISDN interface allows the device to interface with and communicate over the ISDN, thereby providing a gateway to the PSTN. A display provides users with current operational status of the system.
