  • Patent number: 8344211
Abstract: The present invention relates to isolated nucleic acid molecules and their corresponding encoded polypeptides. The present invention further relates to the uses of these nucleic acid molecules and polypeptides. For example, the nucleic acid molecules and polypeptides could be used in making enzymes or used to make plants, plant cells, plant materials or seeds of a plant having such modulated growth or phenotype characteristics that are altered with respect to wild type plants grown under similar conditions.
    Type: Grant

  • Publication number: 20090265815
Abstract: The present invention provides DNA molecules that constitute fragments of the genome of a plant, and polypeptides encoded thereby. The DNA molecules are useful for specifying a gene product in cells, either as a promoter or as a protein coding sequence or as an UTR or as a 3? termination sequence, and are also useful in controlling the behavior of a gene in the chromosome, in controlling the expression of a gene or as tools for genetic mapping, recognizing or isolating identical or related DNA fragments, or identification of a particular individual organism, or for clustering of a group of organisms with a common trait.

  • Patent number: 6370513
Abstract: An automated recommendation system keeps track of the needs and preferences of the user through a user preference vector. Each field of the user preference vector represents the user's preference for a specific item attribute. Item attributes are defined by a systems programmer. The systems programmer also creates product vectors of items in the recommendation database. A user preference vector is compared against a product vector to determine if the product is suitable for recommendation. A recommended item may be purchased by the user by submitting a purchase request over a network connection. The user preference vector is constantly refined through feedback from the user about the recommended items.
