  • Publication number: 20090114741
Abstract: The present invention provides a spray arm assembly comprised of a tubular member rotatable about a fixed axis. The tubular member has an internal passage and a central axis extending a length of the tubular member. A nozzle assembly is attachable to an end of the tubular member and fluidly communicates with the internal passage of the tubular member. The nozzle assembly is comprised of an insert attachable to the tubular member in a predetermined position. A nozzle body has an aperture therein defining a spray orifice. The nozzle body is mountable to the insert in one of a plurality of positions wherein the spray orifice has an orientation based upon a position of the nozzle body relative to the insert. A fastening means is provided for fastening the insert and the nozzle body together in one of the plurality of positions.

  • Publication number: 20090114252
Abstract: The present invention provides a washer for washing articles. The washer is comprised of a housing defining a chamber. The housing has side walls and a top wall. A partition divides the chamber into an upper compartment and a lower compartment that is dimensioned to receive articles to be washed. The partition has an outer peripheral edge that generally conforms to the side walls of the housing. The partition is dimensioned such that a gap is formed between the edge of the partition and the side walls of the housing. An external air inlet line fluidly communicates with the upper compartment. A blower assembly is disposed in the upper compartment. The blower assembly is comprised of a housing having a first air inlet, a second air inlet and an air outlet. The first air inlet fluidly communicates with the lower compartment. The second air inlet fluidly communicates with the external air inlet line. The outlet fluidly communicates with the upper chamber. An impeller is disposed in the housing.

  • Publication number: 20080089800
Abstract: A fluid connection comprised of a first fitting having a body with a first end and a second end. A passage extends through the body from the first end to the second end. A bracket is mounted to the second end of the body. The bracket defines a space adjacent the second end. A mounting element is provided for mounting the first end of the body to a fluid inlet line. A piston is movable within the passage. The piston has an outer surface, an inlet side facing the first end of the body and an outlet side facing the second end of the body. An aperture through the piston fluidly connects the inlet side of the piston to the outlet side of the piston. A second fitting, having a fluid opening therethrough, is dimensioned to be slidably received within the space adjacent the second end of the fitting. The piston is movable into engagement with the second fitting with the aperture in the piston communicating with the fluid opening in the second fitting.

  • Publication number: 20080017568
Abstract: A self-cleaning filter for a washing apparatus. Water entering a filter assembly travels along a spiral pathway that facilitates the separation of heavy solid debris from the water. A filter element prevents both light and heavy solid debris from entering a conduit leading to spray nozzles, thereby preventing clogging of the nozzles. In a filter cleaning operation, solid debris is removed from the filter assembly.

  • Publication number: 20070253869
Abstract: A device for dividing a fluid stream into a first stream and a second stream. The device is comprised of a housing defining an internal chamber. The housing has an inlet port, a first outlet port and a second outlet port. A first flow path through the housing connects the inlet port to the first outlet port. A second flow path through the housing connects the inlet port to the second outlet port. A first flow restriction is defined along the first path limiting flow along the first path.

  • Publication number: 20070056612
Abstract: A tunnel washer that includes fluid exhaust paths that are optimized to minimize fluid transfer between chambers of the washer and minimize heat loss from each chamber of the washer. The fluid exhaust paths also facilitate uniform vapor evacuation from each chamber of the washer. The tunnel washer also includes spaced-apart double wall curtains for isolating chambers of the tunnel washer to prevent fluid and heat transfer therebetween, and to the exterior of the tunnel washer. The double wall curtains include surfaces that inhibit the curtains from sticking together during operation of the tunnel washer. The tunnel washer also includes an air manifold that provides uniform drying efficiency for articles of varying dimensions.

  • Publication number: 20040094190
Abstract: A washer including a plurality of spray jets and nozzles is disposed within a washing chamber for spraying washing and rinsing fluids into the washing chamber. Conduits supply the washing and rinsing fluids to the jets. A sump at the bottom of the washing chamber collects the washing and rinsing fluids sprayed from the jets. A pump re-circulates the washing and rinsing fluids from the sump to the conduits and nozzles. The washer is further comprised of a fluid displacement device centrally disposed within the sump. A fluid displacement device is dimensioned to displace fluid within the sump and to define a generally annular sump chamber surrounding the fluid displacement device that communicates with the pump.
