Patent number: 10941801Abstract: An anchor assembly for insertion in a panel aperture in a receiving panel has a flange. The flange has an engagement surface locatable on a first side of the receiving panel. A plurality of resilient arms project from the engagement surface and are insertable in the panel aperture. At least two of the plurality of resilient arms define a channel therebetween for receiving a threaded fastener. The channel is sized to limit inward deflection of the at least two of the plurality of resilient arms when the threaded fastener extends within the channel. A threaded surface is located in the flange and forms at least in part an anchor aperture for alignment with the panel aperture. The channel is aligned with the anchor aperture. The threaded surface is located between the plurality of resilient arms and is adapted for threadingly engaging the threaded fastener.Type: GrantFiled: August 14, 2018Date of Patent: March 9, 2021Assignee: BOMBARDIER RECREATIONAL PRODUCTS INC.Inventors: Nicolas Roy, Maxime Valence

Patent number: 10214270Abstract: A personal watercraft has a hull having a bow and a stern. A deck is disposed on the hull and has a rear platform having a top face. The top face defines at least a portion of a generally planar surface. The generally planar surface extends forward from a rear end of the deck. The personal watercraft also has a seat supported on the deck. The seat has a front seat portion and a rear seat portion. The rear seat portion is rearward of the front seat portion. The rear seat portion is removably connected to the deck. The rear platform extends between the rear end of the deck and the front seat portion. The generally planar surface extends to at least the front seat portion, and the rear seat portion is disposed on the top face of the rear platform when connected to the deck.Type: GrantFiled: May 1, 2017Date of Patent: February 26, 2019Assignee: BOMBARDIER RECREATIONAL PRODUCTS INC.Inventors: Charles-Edouard Berche, Guillaume Longpre, Nicolas Roy, Maxime Valence, Kim Ross

Patent number: 7849808Abstract: A personal watercraft is disclosed, having a hull and sub-deck (HSD) assembly with left and right gunnels. A deck is disposed above the sub-deck. The left and right lateral edges of the deck are disposed vertically at least as low as the upper end of the left and right gunnels. The left lateral edge and the left gunnel define a left gap therebetween. The right lateral edge and the right gunnel define a right gap therebetween. A left seal member extends laterally outwardly from the left lateral edge. The left seal member extends into the left gap generally toward the left gunnel. A right seal member extends laterally outwardly from the right lateral edge. The right seal member extends into the right gap generally toward the right gunnel.Type: GrantFiled: October 30, 2008Date of Patent: December 14, 2010Assignee: Bombardier Recreational Products Inc.Inventors: Mathieu Duquette, Pascal Toupin, Maxime Valence

Patent number: 7467594Abstract: A personal watercraft is disclosed having a straddle-type seat. The seat is pivotally connected to the deck via a pivotal connection and pivotable with respect to the deck between a raised position and a lowered position. The pivotal connection has first and second links. The seat is pivotally connected to the first and second links and is pivotable with respect thereto about respective first and second axes. The first and second axes are movable with respect to the deck. When the seat is in the raised position, the seat permits access to the engine via an aperture in the deck. When the seat is in the lowered position, the seat covers the aperture in the deck and prevents access to the engine.Type: GrantFiled: November 30, 2007Date of Patent: December 23, 2008Assignee: Bombardier Recreational Products Inc.Inventors: Mathieu Duquette, Maxime Valence
