  • Publication number: 20240136885
Abstract: A heat exchanger assembly is disclosed herein for an electric motor. The heat exchanger assembly can include two fluid circuits: a first circuit for water and a second circuit for oil. The water fluid circuit is configured to cycle cool water through a housing including a heat exchanger element. The oil fluid circuit is configured to supply oil to the area of the heat exchanger element. In one aspect, the oil is supplied to a space defined between a rotor shaft and the housing. The static heat exchanger is packaged coaxially between two rotating shafts.

  • Patent number: 11451101
Abstract: An electric motor arranged for mounting to a combustion engine includes an axis of rotation, a hub, a first plate, a second plate, and a rotor. The first plate is fixed to the hub at a first radially inner diameter, the second plate is fixed to the first plate at a radially outer diameter and arranged for fixing directly to a crankshaft of the combustion engine at a second radially inner diameter, and the rotor is fixed to the hub at the first radially inner diameter. In an example embodiment, the first radially inner diameter is radially offset from the second radially inner diameter.

  • Patent number: 11199250
Abstract: A hybrid module for a vehicle includes a torque converter and an electric motor. The torque converter includes an impeller shell and a cover. The cover is fixed to the impeller shell to form at least a portion of an outer shell for the torque converter. The electric motor includes a rotor supported on a rotor carrier. The cover and the rotor carrier are integrally formed from a same piece of material. In an example embodiment, the hybrid module includes a resolver rotor fixed to the rotor carrier. In some example embodiments, the hybrid module includes a cover disk, fixed to the rotor carrier and extending radially inward to form a portion of the outer shell.
