  • Patent number: 9084042
Abstract: A method and apparatus for providing long playback of short recordings are disclosed. An example method includes recording audio for a time period that is less than a maximum recording time, receiving an indication that the audio is to be played back, playing the audio back for a duration corresponding to the time period, determining the audio is to be repeated, and responsive to determining that the audio is to be repeated, at the end of the time period duration, playing the audio back multiple times for a preset time or preset number of repetitions.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: March 12, 2013
Date of Patent: July 14, 2015
    Assignee: Elli&Nooli, LLC
    Inventors: Maya Shalev, Amos Shaham
  • Patent number: 8594383
Abstract: A method, diagnostic tool and system are provided for evaluating printing defects. A captured image of a printed sheet is received and a profile generated of the printed sheet, this profile being representative of tonal variations in the printed sheet. The profile is analyzed in a plurality of different scales and an assessment made of the significance of one or more features of a printing defect throughout the plurality of different scales. From the assessed significance of the one or more features, an evaluation is carried out, in each of the plurality of different scales, of the severity of the printing defect.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: May 27, 2009
Date of Patent: November 26, 2013
    Assignee: Hewlett-Packard Development Company, L.P.

  • Patent number: 8208824
Abstract: A correction method for correcting unintended spatial variation in lightness across a physical image produced by a xerographic process, the method comprising producing a test image using the xerographic process, measuring a difference between actual lightness and intended lightness across at least part of the test image, and varying the light source level used subsequently in the xerographic process to correct for the measured unintended difference.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: May 10, 2006
Date of Patent: June 26, 2012
    Assignee: Hewlett-Packard Development Company, L.P.

  • Publication number: 20070247514
Abstract: This invention relates to a method of laser power uniformity calibration, comprising: printing a first pattern by a first laser beam; moving the first laser beam to print a second pattern such that the second pattern is located at a predetermined distance from the first pattern; printing the first and second patterns by a second laser beam; comparing the first and second patterns printed by the first and second laser beams; and optionally adjusting a power in the first and second laser beams.
