  • Publication number: 20230249731
Abstract: A gas cylinder lifting and transport device, includes a base supported on a plurality of wheels; a source of power; a lifting device carried on the base; a clamping apparatus having actuators that receives power from the source of power, to clamp or unclamp a gas cylinder. The actuators can be pneumatic cylinders and the source of power can be an on-board battery-operated compressor supported from the base, the compressor being flow connected to the pneumatic cylinders. Alternatively, the source of power can be a battery and the actuators can be electrically actuated linear actuators. The lifting device can be a manually operated lever or a powered lifting device such as an electric linear actuator or a pressurized fluid.

  • Patent number: 7275902
Abstract: A truck body for a transport of compressed gas cylinders on pallets carries a lift gate in the rear, and a front fence that is attachable and detachable so that fences of various heights of types may be utilized. Also, the truck body may have open bottom bays for receiving pallets, but the bays may carry expanded metal sheets for safety purposes. Also, a removable curtain/roof accessory assembly of light weight may be used to enclose the truck bed. A lift gate with novel attachment is also provided.

  • Publication number: 20070210545
Abstract: A cart for transporting material has wheels located intermediate to end wheels, the intermediate wheels extending downwardly a greater distance than the end wheels so that the cart may tilt and may be turned around the intermediate wheels. The wheels may be mounted on flanges depending from a frame of the cart, the flanges serving to protect the wheels and serving to support the cart in the event of a wheel failure. The cart may have a pair of wheels located intermediate to the end wheels so that traversing uneven terrain is improved and eased, and so that the intermediate wheels serve as backups to each other. The intermediate wheels may be a same or similar size, though mounted lower on the flanges, than the end wheels. The intermediate wheels may be larger than the end wheels.

  • Patent number: 6152192
Abstract: A cylinder-filling system includes plural manifolds, for respectively coupling to groups of product containers to be filled, each manifold being connected through suitable valving and pumps to sources of different compressed gases. Respectively connected to the manifolds are reference cylinders which are in turn connected to load cells. A processor, coupled to a touch screen display, executes a program routine which enables user selection of the gas or gas mixture to be added through each manifold, including the identity and proportions of gases in each mixture and the order in which they are to be added, a number of operating parameters including vent and evacuation pressures, number of purge cycles, purge gas, alarm levels and pump and valve operating delay times. The processor controls automatic calculation of gas mixture fill weights from mixture proportions, and controls manual or automatic filling of the containers.

  • Patent number: 6079459
Abstract: The tank-filling system includes a manifold for coupling to tanks to be filled, a pressure transducer coupled to the manifold and a temperature transducer coupleable to at least one of the tanks. The controller receives inputs from the pressure transducer and the temperature transducer and controls a vacuum pump, a filling pump, valves for the pumps and venting valve. A computer routine executed by the controller comprises portions to cause the venting valve to open and vent the tanks, the vacuum pump to evacuate the tanks to a selected point and the fill pumps to fill the tanks at a selected pressure. The routine also comprises a portion to provide reports on the identity of the compressed gas, the number of tanks and the volume of each tank.
