    Abstract: According to one embodiment, a sales data processing apparatus, such as a point-of-sale terminal or the like, includes a processor. The processor is configured to register commodity information for commodities in a sales transaction, receive an operator selection designating an item of registered commodity information, and then receive editing data for editing the designated item of registered commodity information. The processor then edits the designated item of registered commodity information according to the received editing data and causes a display screen to display the edited item of registered commodity information and the unedited item of registered commodity information together on the display screen. In some examples, the edited and unedited information may be displayed adjacent to one another and in a different font format.
