  • Publication number: 20200016522
Abstract: A centrifugal mesh mist eliminator generally comprises a cylindrical roll of mesh attached to a vertical rotating shaft positioned within the center of a pressure vessel. A horizontal partition within the pressure vessel forms a barrier seal between the upper and lower portions thereby directing droplet laden gas flow through the rotating mesh. The incoming droplet laden gas stream enters the lower portion of the pressure vessel through an inlet nozzle. The droplet laden gas stream flows through the rotating cylindrical mesh element where it enters the top section of the pressure vessel. Droplets impinge on the mesh and coalesce into larger diameter drops. These larger diameter drops detach from the mesh due to centrifugal force. The detached liquid droplets settle to the bottom of the vessel as their mass is sufficient to overcome the surrounding flow stream drag force. Liquid discharges from the bottom of the vessel through an outlet nozzle while dry gas exits through a top outlet nozzle.

  • Patent number: 10427068
Abstract: A method for distilling water includes moving raw water into an evaporator. Water is pumped into a liquid-driven condensing ejector. Water vapor is discharged from a vapor outlet of the evaporator into a gas inlet of the ejector. Fluid from an outlet of the ejector is conducted into a heat exchanger. Heat from fluid conducted from the ejector is transferred in the heat exchanger to the raw water entering the evaporator.

  • Publication number: 20170057834
Abstract: A water purification unit includes an evaporator, a heat exchanger, a pump and a liquid-driven condensing ejector. A liquid inlet of the ejector is in fluid communication with an outlet of the pump. A gas inlet of the ejector is in fluid communication with a vapor outlet of the evaporator. An outlet of the ejector is in fluid communication with a fluid inlet of the heat exchanger. A fluid outlet of the heat exchanger is in fluid communication with an intake of the pump. The heat exchanger is in thermal communication with a fluid inlet to the evaporator.
