    Abstract: The invention is directed to the development of model systems in which to study epithelial cell transformation and cancer chemoprevention. Accordingly, the present invention provides subculturable epithelial cell lines from gene knockout animals that may be used to advantage in such studies. Also provided are methods for screening chemopreventive agents using the subculturable epithelial cell lines of the invention.
