  • Patent number: 11924241
Abstract: Systems, methods, and apparatus related to network security. In one approach, various endpoint devices communicate with a network gateway and/or API mode CASB over one or more networks. All communications by the endpoint devices with remote servers and clouds pass through the network gateway (and/or by cloud service access when using an API mode CASB). The gateway and/or CASB gathers metadata from the endpoint devices and/or network devices. The metadata indicates characteristics of the communications by the endpoint devices on the networks and/or processes running on the endpoint devices. The gateway and/or CASB identifies security risks using at least the metadata, and in response dynamically performs remediation actions for one or more of the networks in real-time to limit or block propagation of a cyber attack associated with one or more of the identified security risks.

  • Patent number: 10021133
Abstract: A system and method for detecting a phishing site is disclosed. A message from a client to the site is intercepted by a security gateway. The security gateway determines if the site is a known-site or an unknown-site. If it is a known site, a reputation of the site is checked. If the site is a known-site with a bad reputation, connection between the client and the site is reset. If the site is a known-site with a good reputation, known-site testing is performed for possible phishing attack. If the site is an unknown-site, unknown-site testing for possible phishing attack is performed.

  • Patent number: 8505038
Abstract: A split proxy is configured for managing asynchronous MAPI communications between a client and a server by establishing a queuing structure for MAPI messages that make up the communications. The MAPI messages are subsequently exchanged between the client and the server using the queuing structure. Multiple remote procedure calls (RPCs) underlying the MAPI messages may be grouped together in batches for exchange between proxies of the split proxy. Also, when the client logs off from the server, a MAPI keep-alive process allows updates received at the server to be pre-populated to the split proxy for transfer to the client when it reestablishes a connection.

  • Publication number: 20130103834
Abstract: An apparatus, system, and method for segregating customer traffic through a cloud service are disclosed. The apparatus, system, and method perform network address translation (NAT) on first data packets received from a subnet to translate a first private network IP address into a second private network IP addresses, perform network address and port translation (NAPT) on the first data packets to translate the second private network IP address into a second public network IP address before sending the first data packets to a remote host, perform NAPT on second data packets received from the remote host to translate the second private network IP address back into the first private network IP address, and perform NAT on the second data packets to translate the second private network IP address back into the first private network IP address before sending the second data packets to the subnet.
