  • Publication number: 20070141283
Abstract: A package for consumable products is disclosed. The package includes a plurality of subpackages connected together by a connecting member. For instance, the package may contain two subpackages or alternatively four subpackages all connected at one end to a connecting member. The package is particularly well suited to holding relatively large quantities of the consumable product. Because the subpackages are connected at one end, the package may be draped over an adjacent structure, such as a shopping cart. In this way, the package can be placed in a shopping cart without taking up an excessive amount of space.

  • Publication number: 20070026028
Abstract: Disclosed is an appliance for treating skin or tissue, the appliance comprising a three-layer substrate having a cloth-like appearance and feel. The substrate includes a water-impermeable layer, such as a film, sandwiched between, and attached to, two fibrous layers. The fibrous layer that is adapted to contact skin includes a formulation or composition adapted to be transferred to skin or tissue of the user. Furthermore, the fibrous layer that is adapted to contact skin includes undulations that inhibit leakage of the formulation or composition.

  • Publication number: 20060002988
Abstract: The present invention relates to a patch and method for providing therapy to an individual. The patch and method provide a user or therapist with the flexibility to apply a patch to highly contoured areas on the individual's body. In some embodiments, the patch includes a body that applies therapy to the individual when the patch is placed on the individual. The patch further includes at least one cut in the body of the patch. In other example embodiments, the present invention relates to a method of providing therapy to an individual. The method includes selecting a patch that provides therapy to an individual. The patch includes a body and at least one cut in the body. The method further includes applying the patch to the individual where the cut in the body allows the patch to conform to the individual as the patch is applied to the individual.

  • Publication number: 20050245852
Abstract: In some example embodiments, the present invention relates to a system for providing therapy to a body. The system includes a first patch that applies a first therapy to the body when the first patch is placed near the body. The first patch is customized to fit on a first area of the body. The system further includes a second patch that applies a second therapy to the body when the second patch is placed near the body. The second patch may be a different size than the first patch such that the second patch is customized to fit on a second area of the body and is detachably secured to the first patch to form a third patch that is a combination of the first patch and the second patch. In some embodiments, the first therapy may be different than the second therapy.

  • Publication number: 20050124959
Abstract: An absorbent article, such as a feminine care product, includes a pad component having a liquid permeable top cover, a generally liquid impermeable baffle, and an absorbent structure disposed between the top cover and outer cover. Protective wing portions extend laterally outward from lateral sides of the pad component and have dimensions so as to wrap at least partially around the crotch portion of a wearer's undergarment. The wing portions extend longitudinally along both sides of a transverse centerline of the pad and have an asymmetric shape with an overlap region disposed forward of the transverse centerline.

  • Patent number: 6608236
Abstract: There is provided a distribution material for personal care products which is a fabric which wicks artificial menses according to a horizontal wicking test a distance of about 1 inch in less than about 1.5 minutes. Materials meeting this performance criteria generally have a pore size distribution with a high percentage (usually more than 50 percent) of pore diameters between about 80 and 400 microns and a density below about 0.15 g/cc. There is also provided a personal care product system having a distribution/retention layer and a pad shaping layer wherein each layer has a stain length ratio of 0.5 or less and the distribution/retention layer has a saturation profile of 4 or less.

  • Publication number: 20020007162
Abstract: A disposable absorbent article such as a training pant includes wetness indicating graphics that provide an interactive training aid. The interactive graphics can include a permanent character graphic and one or more active object graphics, which “appear” or “disappear” from view in response to exposure to urine or the environment. Various mechanisms are employed to conceptually and/or visually separate the permanent character graphic from the interactive wetness indicating graphic, such that the character graphic remains independent in the child's mind from the process of toilet training.
