Abstract: A vehicle receives a message for audible output and designation of a specified recipient. The vehicle uses one or more vehicle sensors to detect a location of the specified recipient. Further, the vehicle determines an audible output level projected to be sufficient for the recipient to hear the message at the location, responsive to detecting the location and outputs the message through speakers of the vehicle at the determined audible output level.

Abstract: A system receives a request for gate formation, including indication of a location where one or more vehicles are to form a gate. The system determines a number of vehicles to form the gate. The system also determines available vehicles in proximity to the location and, responsive to the available vehicles including at least the number of vehicles, selects the number of vehicles from the available vehicles to serve as gate vehicles. Also, the system instructs the gate vehicles to autonomously travel to the location and arrange in a designated formation, included in the instruction, to form the gate.

Abstract: A system receives a request for assistance on a task, the request at least identifying the task. The system determines one or more designated entities having predefined characteristics associated therewith indicating suitability for assistance and determines a current status of each determined entity and whether the status indicates availability for assistance. Further, the system contacts at least one of the entities for which the characteristics indicate suitability and for which the status indicates availability and, responsive to at least one entity indicating willingness to assist, opens a communication channel between a requestor, from whom the request originated, and the at least one entity indicating willingness to assist.

Abstract: A tool application system for a vehicle may include a database configured to maintain an inventory of items on a vehicle, and a server configured to receive a request for at least one item relating to a worksite from a technician, compare the request for the at least one item to the inventory, determine that the item is not part of the inventory, transmit a part request to at least one location based on at least one factor, and transmit instructions to the vehicle in response to receiving a response to the request from the location confirming availability of the item.

Abstract: A vehicle analyzes buffered content, buffered by the vehicle, to determine if any content includes one or more predefined characteristics designated to trigger an offer to re-route the vehicle to review the content including the one or more predefined characteristics. The vehicle, responsive to at least one item of the buffered content including the one or more predefined characteristics, for at least one item of the content including the one or more predefined characteristics, determines if an alternative route exists. The alternative route may have at least one of at least one characteristic projected to permit autonomous driving for a duration, or at least having sufficient projected delays associated therewith of the duration, the duration being a duration sufficient to review the content based on a projected review time of the content. The vehicle, responsive to determining the alternative route exists, presents the route to a vehicle driver for acceptance.

Abstract: The disclosure is generally directed to systems and methods for receiving a work request for a fleet based incremental assignment system at a vehicle, collecting data from the vehicle during a predetermined period, the data related to a potential vehicle operator for the work request, analyzing the data to determine a performance degradation of the operator throughout the predetermined period, and determining whether the operator is eligible for the work request based on the analysis of the data. The data may be wireless data including monitored data concerning the operator including data related to physical status, level of exhaustion, performance degradation. The data may include interior and exterior sensor data of the vehicle including cameras, radar, and Lidar wherein the sensor data is collected throughout the predetermined period to determine the operator's gait, walking speed, walking behavior to and from the vehicle to evaluate an exhaustion metric for the operator.
