  • Patent number: 12114872
Abstract: An alignment guide includes a base, a swing arm for coupling to the base such that the swing arm is movable relative to the base, and a locking device for selectively fixing a position of the swing arm relative to the base. The base defines at least one first hole sized and configured to receive a first fixation element and defines at least one second hole sized and configured to receive a second fixation element. The swing arm extends from a first end to a second end. The second end of the swing arm including a coupling mechanism for coupling another guide to the second end of the swing arm. Methods also are disclosed.

  • Publication number: 20230389860
Abstract: A surgical guide includes a body having four sides. The body comprises a first base at the first side, a second base at the second side and an elongated extension between the first and second base. The first base defines at least one first hole and the second base defines at least a second hole. The body is sized and configured to be installed above a joint line of a calcaneus and a talus bone and approximately mid-way along a longitudinal axis of a tibia. The first base is configured to receive at least one dowel of a second surgical guide in the at least one first hole and the second base is configured to receive at least one pin sleeve and pin in the second hole. Systems and methods are also disclosed.

  • Publication number: 20230346395
Abstract: A system and method fare provided for preparing the distal tibia in an ankle replacement via an extra-medullary jig. An extra-medullary jig or C-bracket is positioned on the tibia with a registration reference and positioned with respect to a resection in the distal tibia via an anterior mounting block which is independent of the surface of the tibia. The mounting block allows the adjustment of the stem cartridge with respect to the registration reference such that the stem cartridge is properly aligned within the resection. The C-bracket is further attached to the tibia via an adjustable proximal alignment arm which attaches to a pin embedded in the proximal tibia. The C-bracket aligns the tibia, foot and ankle and the trajectory of the reamer, and is universal with respect to the left and right ankle.

  • Publication number: 20230270456
Abstract: A surgical guide includes a body having a shape that corresponds to a shape of an implant to be implanted. The body defines a first opening and at least one hole that is sized and configured to receive a tool. A first alignment feature configured to facilitate alignment of the surgical guide with a first anatomic plane is coupled to the body. Systems and methods also are disclosed.

  • Publication number: 20220316504
Abstract: Various systems and methods are disclosed for joining multiple components of a prosthesis. For example, a system includes a first component having a body extending from a first end to a second end. Each of the first and second ends including a coupling element. At least one end including a male coupling element including a detent disposed within a hole defined by a protrusion, the detent being biased by a biasing member. A method includes coupling a first component to a second component. Coupling the first component to the second component includes aligning a female engagement element provided by the first component with a male coupling component provided by the second component and inserting the male coupling element into the female coupling element.
