The optical element is positioned in the open capsular bag following an extra-capsular surgical procedure and phakoemulsification of the clouded natural lens. The optical element is adjusted anteriorly and posteriorly by a plurality of arms that are linked to the open capsular bag held by the zonular system of the eye.
