  • Publication number: 20110289322
Abstract: This invention states that any and all physical and virtual objects meeting certain criteria may be used as Identity-Identifier-Objects to authenticate people, businesses, organizations, as well as other physical or virtual objects. While accomplishing said task, this invention discloses objects, methods, and special data structures to hide said Identity-Identifier-Objects from exposure to the public, while being used in their intended roles. Additionally, the objects and methods introduced use ownership property of virtual and physical objects to control access and to implement access and licensing rights of physical and virtual objects. Numerous applications areas such as allocation of digital rights, licensing, notarization of digital signatures, and controlled use of personal photographs, fingerprints and other biometric identifier-objects are also illustrated.

  • Publication number: 20070050638
Abstract: Personal identity-identifiers such as social security numbers, finger prints, and biometric identifiers are fixed for life; once disclosed they can not reliably be used to authenticate the identity of a person claiming to own the identity-identifier(s). This limitation is overcome by introduction of one or more identity-passwords that are related, attached, or commingled together through a preset “rule”. Authentication methodologies claimed by this invention use a three-way-cross-authentication among three entities; a person to be authenticated, an entity requesting the authentication, and a trustee that issues, keeps, and verifies identity-data. Such methodologies can trace back the entitlement of one or more identity-identifiers to its correct owner through a three-way-cross-match of its identity-passwords. Specific methods are described to authenticate one's social security number, credit card number, door pass, computer software licenses, and the like.

  • Publication number: 20060259766
Abstract: This invention teaches methodology for implementing password authentication of social security numbers, and other such identity identifier objects, with the aim to curb unwarranted use of peoples' identity identifiers. The invention introduces an identity-matrix and related methodology. Together, they comprise a system that is a combination of a person's social security number, and other identity identifier objects, with a large number of different passwords. With this method of operation, a third party looking to authenticate a person's identity must verify a pre-designated password that is associated with the same identity identifier, from additional two independent sources. Those being a trustee organization issuer of such identity-passwords, and the other being the person whose identity is being verified. Authentication of identity is concluded, should all obtained identity-passwords match.

  • Publication number: 20050252961
Abstract: “VariCharge” (SM) process improves on the security of credit cards by assigning a different charge number for every charge transaction. The card does not contain the entire string of numbers that are required for charging. The charge number is constructed as a combination of the card number and a variable, random number named “VariPin”. A “VariPin” is generated through a pre-authorization phase, and is good for a maximum pre-authorized charge amount, a specific merchant, and expires after a limited period of time. A new “VariPin” is issued for every charge, therefore, the loss of a card or its numbers do not compromise security, making this an ideal charge instrument to be used when security is of prime concern.
