Abstract: Embodiments of a scanning method utilizing a virtual frame holder are disclosed. In one embodiment, a method includes using a computer drive scan program to perform a scanning preview, determining whether to utilize a frame holder specification parameter data source. In this embodiment, the frame holder specification is selected from the frame holder specification parameters data source. In an additional embodiment, a frame holder specification parameter is created from the frame holder specification.

Abstract: A method for adding text to an image applied to an image scanner including at least the following steps: first, pre-scan a document and acquire a source image accordingly; next, input the content of the text to be added to the source image such that the source image becomes a pre-set image; last, perform document-scanning according to the pre-set image to acquire a scanned image. Of which, the text content can be located at any position of the pre-set image, whereas the source image and the pre-set image can be displayed via a display interface. In practice, the display interface can be a display window.

Abstract: The present invention discloses a scanning method by using a virtual frame holder. The method includes using a computer drive scan program to perform a scanning preview, thereby showing an object image pattern on screen. Next, frame holder specification parameters are used. It is judged whether the frame holder specification parameter data source are used. If the judgement is yes, the frame holder specification is selected from the frame holder specification parameters data source. If the judgement is no, a frame holder specification parameter is created from the frame holder specifications. By using the computer a scan area is dragged and the scan position is calibrated automatically by using the drive scan program. Finally, using a drive scan program the object image is scanned.
