    Abstract: The present invention provides an optical connector coupled to an optical receptacle, wherein the optical connector comprises an outer housing, a coupling module, and a latch structure. The coupling module is disposed in the outer housing for slidably connecting to the outer housing. When the latch structure is operated at a first position, the optical connector is unable to be taken away from the optical receptacle, and when the latch structure is operated at a second position, the outer housing is allowed to slide relative to the coupling module whereby the optical connector is taken away from the optical receptacle. In another embodiment, the present invention further provides an optical module and an operation method in which a movement for changing the position of the latch structure is operated to lock the optical connector into the optical receptacle or take the optical connector away from the optical receptacle.

    Abstract: The present invention provides a receptacle inserted by an optical connector comprising a receptacle body, actuating structure, and a flexible covering structure. The receptacle body comprises a slot and a coupling part having coupling through holes for connecting with the optical connector. The actuating structure is slidably arranged into the slot. When the optical connector is inserted into the slot, the actuating structure is pushed to move to a first position, and when the optical connector is pulled out along the slot, the actuating structure is pushed to move to the second position. The flexible covering structure is connected to the actuating structure, wherein when the actuating structure is moved to the first position, the flexible covering structure is flexibly deformed to reveal the coupling through holes; when the actuating structure is moved to the second position, the coupling through hole is covered by the flexible covering structure.

    Abstract: The present invention provides a backpost for optical connector, comprising a supporting base and a pair of latching arms. The supporting base comprises a through hole allowing a communicating wire passing therethrough. The pair of the latching arms are arranged at the two sides of the through hole, and each latching arm comprises a plurality of structure segments connecting with each other. Alternatively, in another embodiment, the present further provides an optical connector utilizing the backpost, wherein the plurality of structure segments extend the length of the latching arms without changing the length of the backpost, such that the flexibility of the material selection for making the backpost is increased, the design of the backpost can be optimized and the latching force is also improved.
