  • Publication number: 20090085885
Abstract: A touch panel and a manufacturing method thereof are provided. The touch panel has a double-layered sensing pad structure or a single-layered sensing pad structure. In the double-layered sensing pad structure, the sensing pads in each layer have corresponding dummy sensing pads in the other layer for compensating the difference of transmittance. In the single-layered sensing pad structure, the sensing pads are coplanar so that the problem of color shift can be overcome and the visual effect of the touch panel can be improved.

  • Publication number: 20090085891
Abstract: A capacitive touch panel and a display device using the capacitive touch panel are provided. The capacitive touch panel includes a first electrode layer, a second electrode layer, and a dielectric layer disposed between two layers. The first electrode layer has a plurality of first A electrode strings and first B electrode strings extended along a first direction. The first A electrode string and the first B electrode string respectively has a plurality of first direction electrodes. The second electrode layer has a plurality of second direction electrodes connected in series along a second direction. The first A and B electrode strings are disconnected in the first electrode layer while they are simultaneously detected for presence of signal variation.

  • Publication number: 20090066623
Abstract: A color sequential liquid crystal display (LCD) and a method of driving the same are introduced herein. The method is implemented to change transmittance of a liquid crystal display (LCD) panel by inserting a pre-driving signal between two adjacent frames. The pre-driving signal can be adjusted by the gray level difference of the adjacent frames. The method is capable of not only improving accuracy of the color mixing of the color sequential liquid crystal display (LCD), but also resolving the prior art problem of uneven pixel displays resulted from the time difference of activating different gate line in sequences in the liquid crystal display (LCD) panel.

  • Publication number: 20090058826
Abstract: A touch panel has a first substrate and a second substrate. The thickness in the non-sensor regions of the first substrate is greater than the thickness in the sensor regions of the first substrate. The second substrate includes first photo spacers and second photo spacers having substantially the same heights. The first photo spacers are structurally connected to the non-sensor regions of the first region of the first substrate, and the second photo spacers are positioned corresponding to the sensor regions of the first substrate that maintain a first gap with the first substrate.

  • Publication number: 20080224986
Abstract: A color sequential display having backlight timing delay control unit and method thereof are described. The color sequential display includes a liquid crystal panel, a backlight source, a driving circuit, and a backlight delay control unit. The driving circuit generates a pixel voltage to drive the liquid crystal panel. The backlight delay control unit controls to delay the time of the turn-off status of the backlight source and thus adjusts the time of the turn-off between an end point of the second time interval of the at least one first sub-frame and an end point of the first time interval of the at least one second sub-frame.

  • Publication number: 20080094541
Abstract: A color sequential LCD display is disclosed. In addition to three base color lights including red, green and blue, the display also utilizes at least one additional color light whose color space coordinate is different from any of the three base color lights as additional light source for backlight. By doing so, and objective of expanding gamut ratio of the display can be achieved.
