The stator includes a housing having an open end, a plurality of adhesive strips applied on an inner surface of the housing, a plurality of magnets bonded to the inner surface of the housing by the adhesive strips, and an end cap assembly mounted to the opening end of the housing. The adhesive covers at least 70% of the area of the outer surface of each magnet after the magnets are assembled to the housing.
