  • Patent number: 10570827
Abstract: A power plant and method for operating a power plant having a gas turbine and a generator which are arranged on a section, a shaft which connects the gas turbine to the generator in order to transmit a force, and a clutch which is arranged in the shaft between the gas turbine and the generator such that the shaft includes at least two sub-shafts, a first sub-shaft between the generator and the clutch and a second sub-shaft, which is referred to as a gas turbine intermediate shaft, between the gas turbine and the clutch. An electric motor is arranged in the section between the clutch and the gas turbine in order to accelerate the gas turbine.

  • Publication number: 20190305705
Abstract: A method for supplying an excitation current to an excitation winding of a rotor of a three-phase generator of a system for producing a three-phase alternating voltage to be fed into a power network. A pulsed excitation current is supplied to the excitation winding if a rotational frequency of the rotor deviates from a network frequency of the power network.

  • Publication number: 20190288589
Abstract: A three-phase generator for an installation for generating a three-phase alternating voltage, has a two-pole rotor having two magnetic poles, wherein the magnetic poles are arranged irregularly and offset to one another on the periphery with respect to a rotor rotational axis of the rotor

  • Patent number: 8616015
Abstract: A cooling circuit for removing waste heat from a cooling device of an electromechanical converter is provided. The cooling circuit includes a chilling medium, a cooler for extracting heat from the chilling medium, a return connecting the cooling device of the converter to the cooler and conducts warm chilling medium, a feed connecting the cooler to the cooling device of the converter and conducts cool chilling medium, and an absorption chiller for extracting heat from the chilling medium. The absorption chiller is driven by the heat of the warm chilling medium that is in the return.
