  • Publication number: 20240238367
Abstract: The present disclosure provides a method of treating hypercholesterolemia and other conditions related to PCSK9 activity, e.g. atherosclerosis, atherosclerotic cardiovascular disease, coronary heart disease, metabolic syndrome, acute coronary syndrome, or related cardiovascular disease and cardiometabolic conditions, by orally administering to the subject an amount of a compound of formula (I) wherein A? is selected from a pharmaceutically acceptable anion, and wherein the amount administered is from about 5 mg to about 300 mg of the compound of formula (I). The present invention is also directed to pharmaceutical compositions comprising a compound of formula (I), including particular salts of a compound of formula (I), and a permeation enhancer.

  • Patent number: 6520310
Abstract: An escalator combplate load and obstruction sensor is capable of monitoring and indicating both horizontal and vertical force and loads. The combplate is mounted for limited horizontal and vertical travel in response to corresponding horizontal and vertical loads. Both the horizontal and vertical travel are resolved into a displacement at an angle to both the horizontal and vertical, and the displacement is applied to a sensing portion of a loadcell which generates an electrical output proportional to the applied displacement and force. An indicator is coupled to the loadcell to indicate a relationship between the displacement applied to the loadcell and at least one reference value, whereby the horizontal and vertical loads applied to the combplate can be monitored and improper load levels determined.

  • Patent number: 6283270
Abstract: An escalator step pallet has step tread and front riser portions joined together with side edges. The side edges are provided with a peripheral slot to accept replaceable demarcation inserts which identifies the side edges. The slot on the step pallet is provided with guides extending along its length to accept channels of the demarcation inserts and orient the demarcation inserts on the step pallet. Preferably, a pair of demarcation inserts are provided for each step edge, the first insert extending along the step tread and the second insert extending along the riser. The two inserts may interlock. In addition, each of the inserts is provided with a locking device which mates with a corresponding element on the step pallet to retain the insert in position. The locking device may be for example, a hook arm which engages a projection on the bottom surface of the step pallet.

  • Patent number: 4867460
Abstract: A hydraulic elevator jack having a cylinder, a cylinder head, a plunger, and an improved seal assembly disposed between the cylinder head and plunger. The seal assembly includes a compartmentalized sleeve which axially separates a wear ring and a sealing function, with the wear ring being disposed closer to the cylinder, i.e., on the oil or pressure side of the cylinder head, than the sealing function. The wear ring is discontinuous, having at least first and second spaced ends, providing improved distribution of load on the wear ring while reducing drag and tendency of the wear ring to bind. The sealing function includes at least one O-ring energizing seal having a main body portion, and a discontinuous, elastomeric, solid body O-ring disposed in a cavity defined by the body portion. The O-ring is preferably centered relative to the axial dimension of a sealing surface of the main body portion.
