  • Patent number: 5487312
Abstract: A choke-bypass system is arranged upstream of the gas analyzer so as to generate a constant input pressure at the gas analyzer. The measurement range of the gas analyzer can be expanded considerably beyond the standard range while maintaining accuracy of measurement when the measurement gas is diluted with an inert gas above a given gas concentration threshold in such a way that the gas concentration in the gas analyzer remains constant. To this end, a dilution gas line (12) with a control valve (13) for continuous dilution of the measurement gas with the inert gas is connected to the choke-bypass system (1), (2), (3), (6).

  • Patent number: 5245857
Abstract: The gas analyzer comprises a detector (3) which is dependent upon the mass flow, with a suction device (4) at the detector output. The detector output is connected to a vacuum regulating circuit (6) which maintains the vacuum constant, generated by the suction device (4), at the detector output in relation to the atmospheric pressure. The detector (3) is preceded by a choke (2) in the pipe-line for the gas to be measured. A second choke (11) is connected in parallel, by way of by-pass, to the series arrangement of the first choke (2) and the detector (3). A further (third) choke (1) is connected in advance of the common gas inlet (12, 13). A second vacuum regulating circuit (14) is connected to the common connection point and maintains the pressure constant, prevailing at said connection point, in relation to the atmospheric pressure.

  • Patent number: 5127259
Abstract: The apparatus for determining volatile gases and/or vapor components in a flowing liquid consists basically of a gas analysis instrument (8) which is charged via a sampling tube (9) with the components to be measured which have been freed from the liquid. A carrier gas (17) is passed through a gas inlet tube (11) into the flowing liquid and liberates the gas components to be measured, which are then passed together with the carrier gas (13) through the sampling tube (9) to the gas analysis instrument (8). For this purpose the sampling tube (9) is connected to a dip tube (3) which projects into the liquid and surrounds a porous distributor body (12) for introducing the carrier gas (13) in the form of finely disperse gas bubbles, which distributor body is connected to the gas inlet tube (11) and is subjected to the flow of liquid from the side.

  • Patent number: 4341108
Abstract: By means of a suction pump located at the outlet of the analyzer device and a combination of choke members connected in parallel in a row and respective low pressure controllers at the outlet of the gas analyzer and at the connection point of the series connection and parallel connection of the choke members, a constant sample flow through the analyzer is produced. Thus, even where there is a fluctuating measuring gas pressure and a variable flow resistance in the inlet part of the gas analyzer, the proportionality of the measuring signal to the concentration of the measuring component is ensured.
