    Abstract: A flag connection assembly is provided for attaching a flag to a flag pole assembly, where the flag pole assembly includes a flag pole and a halyard, and the flag including at least two openings adjacent a linear edge. A pair of bridge straps are provided, each bridge strap including at least one loop and a loop-remote portion. The halyard includes shackles adapted to snap to the loop-remote portion of the bridge straps. The loops are constructed of flexible material collapsible for pulling through one of the openings, after which it is expandable for pulling the loop-remote portion through the loop to self-attach the bridge straps to the flag. Preferably, the bridge straps are made of a durable woven nylon or cloth and have a length permitting free flapping and movement of the flag in a breeze.
