  • Patent number: 12310867
Abstract: Stents generally can include multiple longitudinal elements each extending over a majority of the length of the stent and each having alternating flexible and rigid segments. The stents can include nodes positioned between the flexible and rigid segments on the longitudinal elements and interconnecting members extending circumferentially to connect adjacent longitudinal elements at the nodes. The longitudinal elements can have a wave pattern and the interconnecting members can have a branch structure connecting peaks from one longitudinal element to troughs of an adjacent longitudinal element. The resulting stent structure can have lateral and longitudinal flexibility needed to navigate and conform to intracranial arteries with the benefits of recapturability and structural integrity of a closed cell design.

  • Publication number: 20240341768
Abstract: An apparatus for controlling movement of a wire configured to deploy an implant is presented herein. The apparatus can include a wire including a bump and a valve including a friction element configured to apply a friction force to the wire. The friction force can vary based on one or more of: a speed at which the wire is pulled through the friction element, a direction in which the wire is pulled through the friction element, and a contact between the bump and the friction element. The wire can be configured to deploy an implant upon a proximal retraction of the wire.

  • Patent number: 11951026
Abstract: The disclosed technology includes a detachment system for delivering an implantable medical device to a target location of a body vessel including a proximal delivery tube, a distal delivery tube, and a braid segment disposed between. The distal tube includes a proximal end, a distal end, and a compressible portion of the tube itself, between the proximal and distal ends which is axially movable from a compressed to an elongated condition. The proximal tube has a proximal end and a distal end. The braid segment is formed from a plurality of wires. An engagement system engages and deploys the implantable medical device engaged at the distal end of the distal tube.
