    Abstract: A high chair clean seat is disclosed for use as a seat cover on a restaurant high chair for the purpose of protecting babies and toddlers from the dirt and bacteria left on the restaurant high chair. The high chair clean seat includes a continuous connected sleeve covering the entire seating area of a high chair including the sides, back, front, corners and seat bottom with leg openings provided for legs to slide through. The high chair clean seat also comprises a strap and buckle for helping babies and toddlers sit more securely without using the soiled strap/buckle already found on restaurant high chairs. The strap/buckle system secures to the high chair by means of a small button-hole/slit on the bottom of each side of the high chair clean seat.

The apparatus comprises a shopping cart cover and pet retaining seat having a front portion forming a front sleeve, a rear portion forming a rear sleeve, the front and rear sleeves opening inwardly toward a central portion, a first side portion and a second side portion extending from the central portion in directions opposite to one another, and a retaining enclosure formed by the front portion, the rear portion, the first side portion, and the second side portion, wherein the shopping cart cover and pet retaining seat is held into place on the shopping cart by the front sleeve and the rear sleeve, and further wherein the retaining enclosure confines the pet to the seating area of the shopping cart.

The shopping cart clean seat made of a thin sheet of flexible material having a front sleeve and a back sleeve to secure the seat cover to the child seating area of the shopping cart. Front and back portions connect the front and back sleeves to a central bottom portion, side portions extend from the central bottom portion, and the portions together cover the child seating area of the shopping cart, respectively. The shopping cart clean seat has piping at the seams of the portions to retain its shape. The front portion of the clean seat has openings for the child's legs to pass through. The back portion of clean seat has grommet openings for a belt to pass through to retain the child.
