  • Publication number: 20230212907
Abstract: Described is a louver having a frame that forms an enclosure defining an opening, and a plurality of louver blades disposed within the opening. Each of the plurality of louver blades include a catch member that longitudinally extends between a first blade end and a second blade end of a corresponding louver blade. The louver may also include a rotation assembly configured to rotatably couple with the plurality of louver blades and the frame. The plurality of louver blades may autonomously rotate about rotation members of the rotation assembly based on environmental elements captured in the catch member such that the plurality of louver blades are configured in an open position in response to no water in the catch member and are configured in a closed position in response to an amount of environmental elements in the catch member.

  • Patent number: 11573030
Abstract: A louver assembly includes a support, a plurality of blades, and an insert. The support extends along a length and includes a plurality of slots formed therethrough. Additionally, each louver blade of the plurality of louver blades includes a retention aperture formed therethrough, where each louver blade of the plurality of louver blades extends through a respective blade aperture of the plurality of blade apertures. Moreover, the insert extends through the retention aperture of each louver blade of the plurality of louver blades.

  • Publication number: 20220364742
Abstract: The present disclosure is directed to a sunshade system that monitors a position of the sun and adjusts a position of a frame and/or blades based on a position of the sun. For example, a heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) unit of an HVAC system may be exposed to adverse, external weather conditions, such as sunlight, which may heat up components of the HVAC unit and decrease an efficiency of the HVAC system. Accordingly, a control system of the sunshade system may monitor the position of the sun and adjust the position of the frame and/or the blades to provide adequate shading for the HVAC unit.
