    Abstract: A manipulation device, which is configured to be used with an interactive whiteboard, includes an elongated rod and a body portion. The elongated rod is connected to the body portion at one of its ends, and the body portion has an outer surface with a layer of foam disposed thereon. The layer of foam disposed on the body portion is configured to be displaced along an outer display surface of an interactive whiteboard so as to facilitate a manipulation of objects displayed on the interactive whiteboard by a user thereof. According to another aspect of the invention, the manipulation device is provided as part of an interactive teaching system, wherein the manipulation device is used in conjunction with an interactive whiteboard having an outer display surface, the interactive whiteboard being operatively coupled to a data processing device.
