    Abstract: A method for estimating a volume of plaque in a blood vessel includes identifying a range of voxel densities and imaging a selected volume of the blood vessel. Within the selected volume, the number of voxels having a density within the range is estimated. At least in part on the basis of the estimated number of voxels, the volume of plaque is estimated.
