  • Publication number: 20030173040
Abstract: A roll-up door assembly for a variety of uses for example commercial vehicles, commercial buildings, residential buildings or other suitable purposes. The door assembly includes a flexible unitary panel constructed from a material comprising a fiber and resin composite. A plurality of transverse support bars are affixed to the flexible panel. Rollers are rotably mounted on an axle and are adapted to be received in a track for guided movement of the flexible panel. The axle can be integral with the transverse reinforcement member or part of a roller bracket affixed to the transverse reinforcement member. Alternately, the flexible panel can be provided without rollers and can be received in and guided by a slotted track.

  • Patent number: 6506276
Abstract: A plurality of thermoplastic tubular segments having substantially equal lengths are arranged in horizontal side-by-side relationship with the respective ends of the tubular segments aligned in a generally common plane. Small portions of the respective ends of the tubes are cut by a thermal cutting device which simultaneously fuses the ends of the tubes to produce a consolidated unitary structure having a thickness defined by the distance between the fused ends of the tubular segments. The consolidated unitary structure is then rotated to a horizontal position, with the tubular segments vertically oriented, and cut along at least one horizontal plane to produce fused cores having a thickness defined by the vertical position of a horizontally disposed thermal cutting device.

  • Patent number: 6488799
Abstract: Core-type structures are formed by extruding elongated tubular members or sheets of a thermoplastic material that are subsequently cut into segments or plates having a defined length and then assembled into a bundle. The bundle is then simultaneously cut at a number of spaced-apart locations along the length of the bundled segments, or plates, whereby a plurality of separate core structures are simultaneously formed.

  • Patent number: 6125540
Abstract: Core-type structures are formed in a continuous process by assembling cut tubes or sheets of a thermoplastic material that are aligned, cut into separate continuous structures which are then subsequently cut into separate structures suitable for use as a core member.

  • Patent number: 5499475
Abstract: A door seal has a base portion comprising straight sections joined at their ends to form corner joints with another section, at least four first seal sections each of which are disposed at a respective one of the corner joints, and a plurality of second seal portions each having a length that extends between a spaced pair of the first seal sections. The first seal sections comprise a pair of spaced lip seals, whereas the second seal sections comprise a lip seal and a compression seal. The seal avoids the problem of undesirable compression seal distortion at the corners joints.
