  • Publication number: 20100161612
Abstract: A topic is summarized through content anatomy. The topic is summarized temporally. In an evolution graph generated through the present invention for the topic, all important events are picked up and cause-result relationships between the events are clearly shown. Hence, difficulty in understanding evolution of the topic is effectively reduced.

  • Publication number: 20090313396
Abstract: A system, a controller, and a method for transmitting and distributing a data stream from a host to a storage device having a non-volatile memory and a chip are provided. A specific mark is added into a data stream which is transmitted from the host to the storage device, such that the data stream can be dispatched to the chip by transmitting a write command. The, a response message generated by the chip can be received inerrably by executing a plurality of read commands.

  • Publication number: 20090187709
Abstract: A method for transmitting and dispatching data stream, which is used for transmitting data stream to a storage device having a non-volatile memory and a smart card chip from a host, is provided. The method includes: setting a key between the host and the storage device; creating a temporary file in the non-volatile memory; verifying the temporary file based on the key; recording a logical block address of the temporary file when verification of the temporary file is successful; and judging whether the data stream from the host is written at the logical block address, wherein the data stream is identified to be a command-application protocol data unit (C-APDU) and is dispatched to the smart card chip when the data stream from the host is written at the logical block address. Accordingly, it is possible to efficiently distinguish a general data from a command of the smart card chip.

  • Publication number: 20090150141
Abstract: The present invention provides a method for providing linguistically interesting terms to a user, the method comprising processing a received digital text by a natural language processing technology, and then comparing the processed digital text with a linguistically interesting term database with a plurality of predetermined linguistically interesting terms. When the processed digital text has at least one predetermined linguistically interesting term, then at least one predetermined linguistically interesting term is extracted and is identified in a display.

  • Publication number: 20030128236
Abstract: A self-adaptive personal view agent system is described. The system includes a proxy, a personal view constructor, and a personal view maintainer. The proxy keeps track of a user's Internet access activities, and extracts a topic page from web pages that have been accessed by the user. The personal view constructor builds a personal view, in a form of a hierarchy of categories, for the user based on the topic page extracted by the proxy. The personal view maintainer adjusts the personal view based on an energy value of each of the categories to reflect changes in the user's interest.

  • Patent number: 6141493
Abstract: Architecture for filing variable-bit-rate (VBR) video data on zoned disks based on the character of the VBR data and the character of the zoned disk. A "constant read-time" approach is disclosed to determine the filing layout of data. In this invention, the distribution of the data is determined by the sequence of retrieving the data. A multistage graph is used to describe the structure of the filing architecture of this invention. The invention also provides a segmentation algorithm to reduce time and space complexities in the processing of VBR data.

  • Patent number: 6040866
Abstract: A method for transmitting information data with a variable bit-rate (VBR) on a transmission channel with constant bit-rate (CBR) uses both a "lazy" algorithm and an "aggressive" algorithm. The "lazy algorithm" determines a transmission schedule where the smallest client buffer requirement and shortest working-ahead under a decided transmission rate may be obtained. The "aggressive algorithm" determines a transmission schedule whereby the highest utility rate of the network under a specific client buffer size may be obtained.
