  • Patent number: 12663655
Abstract: An example, facial interface structure for an extended-reality headset comprises a front portion configured to couple with a head-facing portion of an extended-reality headset, and a rear portion configured to couple with a portion of the user's face, wherein the front portion is configured to move relative to the rear portion in response to a force applied by a strap around a head of a user. The example facial interface includes two side support structures coupling the front portion to the rear portion, where each of the side support structures is configured to be positioned on a different respective side of the user's face. In addition, movement of the front portion relative to the rear portion causes, via the two side support structures, the rear portion to deform to thereby conform the rear portion to a profile of a user's head.

  • Patent number: 12287488
Abstract: A headset device may include a facial interface having an inflatable bladder. The inflatable bladder may be configured to conform to facial contours of a face of a user when the headset device is worn. In examples, the inflatable bladder may include one or more bladder sections that may be filled with a fluid. In some examples, based in part on receiving an input, a pressure within one or more bladder sections may be adjusted from a first pressure to a second pressure in part by adjusting a volume of fluid within the one or more bladder sections of the inflatable bladder.

  • Publication number: 20240201467
Abstract: Systems, devices, and methods for eye strain reduction in head mountable displays are disclosed. The system may include an adjustable facial interface bracket and an extender bracket that can be coupled to the head mountable display device. An actuating mechanism may be incorporated to define the spatial distance between the facial interface bracket and the extender bracket. This may allow users to customize the distance between their eyes and the display panel, reducing eye strain and improving the overall comfort of the head mountable display. The system may offer a flexible and user-friendly solution to enhance the user experience and alleviate eye strain in head mountable displays.

  • Patent number: 10512529
Abstract: An oral care appliance (100), such as an electric toothbrush, utilizing non-linear resonant systems is described herein. In one exemplary embodiment, the oral care appliance includes a longitudinal shaft (102), a brush head (130), and a handle (190). The handle includes a motor (140) that generates a first amplitude (404) for the brush head based on the brush head being outside of the user's mouth, when no mass is applied to the brush head. In response to the brush head being inside of the user's mouth, when mass is applied, such as by pressing the brush head against the teeth, the motor causes a second amplitude (410) to be generated for the brush head that is larger than the first amplitude.
