  • Patent number: 8543714
Abstract: Disclosed is a local power management unit acting as a hub-like information agent for assisting a remote management system to administer power distribution units. One local power management unit is connected to a plurality of power distribution units through a peripheral communication interface and connected to the remote management system through an IP network. The local power management unit is configured to collect and analyze the operational data or power consumption information of the connected power distribution units through the peripheral communication interface and transmitted the processed data or information to the remote management system through the IP network. Hence, the workload of the remote management system is alleviated, the network cabling is saved, and the processing time of the polling operation carried out by the remote management system is shortened.

  • Publication number: 20120086396
Abstract: The invention discloses a charging system for electric vehicle which includes at least one charging station. The charging station includes a socket breaker. When the connection between the charging pump of the charging station and the socket lock on the charging stand of the vehicle is not secure or the charging current for charging the vehicle is too large, the socket breaker will open to shut down the power supply for the socket lock of the vehicle, thereby terminating the charging operation for the vehicle. Also, the charging station includes an adaptive charging control circuit and a power manager for regulating the charging current for the vehicle according to the charging demands of the electric vehicle and the loading of a smart grid/utility grid, thereby providing flexible and adaptive charging service for the vehicle.

  • Publication number: 20110187193
Abstract: Disclosed is a power distribution unit and power management architecture employing such power distribution unit. The power management architecture includes a remote power management system for managing a plurality of power appliances, and a plurality of power distribution units each of which is provided with wireless network connectivity. With the wireless network connectivity, the remote power management system and the power distribution units constitute a mesh link network for two-way data transmission. In operation, the remote power management system transmits a first profile to the power distribution units to allow the first control unit of the power distribution unit to real-timely control the operation of the power distribution units according to the management policy and/or the management principle recorded in the first profile.

  • Patent number: 7464875
Abstract: An image acquiring apparatus capable of processing an image quickly and a method of acquiring the image. The image acquiring apparatus includes an image acquiring unit and a processing unit. The image acquiring unit acquires a source image, converts the source image into a first image data and then outputs the first image data. The processing unit produces a second image data according to the first image data and produces an image parameter according to the second image data. The image parameter executes an image correcting procedure. The size of the second image data is less than the size of the first image data.

  • Publication number: 20060090634
Abstract: An apparatus for adjusting a digital setting value at a variable speed includes an up key and a down key for generating a plurality of up and down pulses, an input/output interface connected to the up key and the down key, a processor connected to the input/output interface, and a display. The processor, in which a default digital setting value is stored, receives the up pulses and the down pulses through the input/output interface. The processor adds an adjustment value to or subtracts the adjustment value from the default digital setting value according to a time interval between adjacent two of the up pulses or adjacent two of the down pulses so as to obtain a digital output value to be outputted to the display, which displays the digital output value. The adjustment value increases as the time interval decreases.
