The terminal device receives a reference signal burst #i of the secondary cell. The terminal determines an index value of the reference signal burst #i based on a receive time of the reference signal burst #i and the interval between two adjacent reference signal bursts. The terminal performs cell search based on the index value of the reference signal burst #i, the start location of the 1st reference signal burst in the frame, and the interval between two adjacent reference signal bursts.
