  • Publication number: 20070165547
Abstract: An integrated data processing circuit contains matrix of programmable processors. Each processor (12) has private operand transfer connections to its neighboring processors (12) in the matrix, typically for passing operands of transfer commands. An additional tree communication structure contain router circuits (16, 18, 19) hierarchically coupled to each other and to the processors. The processors (12) form leave nodes of the tree structure, the router circuits (16, 18, 19) being arranged to route a message with an address from a root router (19) circuit to an addressed processor (12), selectively via a path through the tree structure, the router circuits (16, 18, 19) each selecting a part of the path under control of the address.

  • Publication number: 20060179423
Abstract: A series (20) of original instructions for a single processor is translated into implementing instructions for executions distributed over a plurality of processors (12,16) of different type. The series (20) of original instructions is split into successive sections (22a-c,24a,b) assigned to respective ones of the processors (12,16). Operand transfer instructions are added to the sections (22a-c,24a,b) to support data dependencies between the sections (22a-c,24a,b). The assignment includes selecting a location of a boundary in the series of original instructions between successive ones of the sections (22a-c,24a,b) so as to substantially minimize an aggregate of the execution cost factors of the original instructions as implemented and including costs for the operand transfer instructions. Preferably, the locations of the boundaries are determined from a search among different boundaries positions.

  • Publication number: 20050125790
Abstract: The present invention relates to a device (10) for accelerating the interpretation of a program in interpreted language, said program comprising an intermediate code which can be executed by a virtual machine in the form of successive tasks, said device comprising routing means (13) able to extract a current intermediate code from a memory (11) in order to load it into storage means (16). When there is a request for a change of task, the routing means (13) are able to inhibit the extraction of the current intermediate code and to load into the storage means (16) a reserved intermediate code intended to effect a saving of a context of the virtual machine.
