  • Publication number: 20230158323
Abstract: A method and apparatus for detecting a pulsed electromagnetic field (PEMF) therapy is disclosed. In some embodiments, the apparatus may include a PEMF sensor to detect electrical signals from a site on the patient’s body that are remote from an applied PEMF therapy; the electrical signal may be detected as therapeutic PEMF waveforms are delivered to a patient, and may be proportional to the applied PEMF treatment. A clinician may monitor the PEMF therapy that is delivered to the patient through the separate device. The apparatus may be wearable and may include a bracelet, ring, belt, band, or strap that enables the patient to comfortably wear the apparatus when receiving PEMF therapy.

  • Patent number: 8452815
Abstract: Managing and analyzing occurrences of certain types of adverse events associated with a distribution of a prescription drug into the commercial marketplace, such as a drug having an associated abuse liability potential. Data concerning an occurrence of an adverse event associated with such distribution is received and selectively logged as an event if the data satisfies one or more predetermined criteria which can be used to filter the received data. If the received data are logged as an event, a score is computed and assigned to the event. If the score meets or exceeds a pre-established threshold, a field researcher is assigned to investigate the logged event. Further data from the field researcher are stored in association with the logged event. Automated review of further data from field researchers can be performed to update the status of a logged event to closed.

  • Patent number: 5732263
Abstract: User-created object classes may be generated after build-time without requiring modification to and recompiling of the program code. Every class within an object oriented programming environment is assigned a unique class identifier. Every class within a particular hierarchy is assigned a selector identifier. The exemplary class comprises a registration table having a vendor class portion and a user class portion. Classes defined at build-time are registered in the vendor portion of the registration table. User-created object classes are assigned selector identifiers having values of existing classes. These selector identifiers, along with the respective name of the user-created object class, are registered in the user class portion of the registration table. The instantiation of objects from user-created object classes is handled by searching the user class portion of the registration table prior to the vendor class portion.
