  • Patent number: 4117415
Abstract: The amplifiers of the present application all include at least two pairs of complementary, metal-oxide-semiconductor (COS/MOS) transistors, each pair quiescently biased to operate as a linear amplifier. An input signal is applied in one phase to the input circuit of one COS/MOS pair and in opposite phase to the input circuit of the other COS/MOS pair. The output signal appears across a load circuit which is connected at one terminal to the joined drain electrodes of one COS/MOS pair and at its other terminal to the joined drain electrodes of the other COS/MOS pair.

  • Patent number: 4090139
Abstract: Series-connected, field-effect transistors (FET's) of complementary conductivity types are employed to mix two or more input signals. The transistors are quiescently biased in their linear operating range. Each input signal is applied to the gate electrode of one FET and the gate electrode of the corresponding FET of opposite conductivity type in the series string. The output signal containing sum and difference frequencies is available at a common drain connection between two adjacent transistors of opposite conductivity types at the center of the string.

  • Patent number: 4032851
Abstract: Series connected field-effect transistors (FET's) of complementary conductivity types are employed to mix two input signals. The transistors are biased in their linear operating region and operate as common source amplifiers for the signals to be mixed. The input signals are applied to the respective gate electrodes of the transistors and the output signal containing upper and lower sideband frequencies is available at the common drain connection of the transistors.

  • Patent number: 3950657
Abstract: Clock pulses for a counter and trigger pulses for a thyristor switch are derived from the axis crossings of an alternating current signal. Logic circuits responsive to the counter determine the total number of trigger pulses supplied to the thyristor subsequent to a control signal transition or, in the alternative, delay application of the trigger pulses until a given number of axis crossings have occurred.

  • Patent number: 3944859
Abstract: A high input impedance circuit is employed to sense the condition of a bridge such as a Wheatstone bridge containing ionization chambers for smoke detection. The circuit comprises two CMOS inverters connected to operate as a differential signal detector, one inverter connected at its gate electrodes to one output terminal of the bridge and the other similarly connected to the other output terminal of the bridge. The system includes a simple null and sensitivity adjustment.
