  • Patent number: 5622234
Abstract: A suspension system for a tracked vehicle comprising a first axial member pivotally coupled to the main drive wheel axle housing and extending forward towards the idler wheel, and a second axial portion pivotally coupled to the first axial member and to which the idler wheel is rotatively mounted. The second axial member is provided with a track roller extension on which is mounted a track roller frame having three pairs of track rollers. The first axial member is coupled to the tractor frame by a pendulum assembly. The pendulum assembly comprises first and second parallel tubes having cylindrical apertures. The tubes are parallel to and offset from one another so that an outwardly projecting transverse stub shaft from the tractor frame is received in one aperture and an inwardly projecting transverse stub shaft from the suspension system is received in the other aperture.

  • Patent number: 5390751
Abstract: The present invention is directed to a planetary steering system for a skid steered vehicle. A prime mover directs rotational motion through right and left drive shafts having planetary carriers with planet gears. The planet gears of the right and left planetary carriers rotate around a right and left sun gears that are coupled to right and left hydraulic steering motors. The planet gears rotate in right and left ring gears that are coupled to the right and left drive wheels of the vehicle. By rotating the motors the speed of the drive wheels can be independently controlled.

  • Patent number: 5135347
Abstract: A loader mounting arrangement includes a pair of mounting frames secured to the opposite sides of the tractor frame for receiving the lower ends of the loader mast posts. Each bracket includes a transversely extending pin for receiving a C-shaped forwardly opening front portion of the mast post. The rear of the mounting frame opens upwardly to guide the aft portion of the mast post end as the mast post is rocked downwardly about the axis of the rod. Projecting pin-receiving bushings in the aft portion of the mast post end are received within mating upwardly opening pockets in the mounting frame. The bushings are positively forced into the pockets by operating the boom lift cylinders with the loader attachment on the ground to assure alignment of the mast post end and the bracket. With the bushings forced downwardly into the fully seated position within the pockets, hole in the bracket are aligned with the bushing bores, and a locking pin is easily inserted to secure the mast post to the tractor.

  • Patent number: 4347031
Abstract: A parking stand of telescopic character that may be selectively lengthened and shortened between the ground and an elevated portion of a dismounted implement, such as a front end loader, and lockable in either condition, in the lengthened condition serving as a supporting strut for the implement and in the shortened and locked condition occupying a retracted or transport position. The shortened members are swingable toward the implement and locked thereto by the same means that locks the members in their shortened condition. The members are of channel shape and nest one within the other and are conditioned for relative lengthwise sliding by lugs means on the outer channel that extend partly across the inner channel and engage the flanges of the inner channel.

  • Patent number: 4264264
Abstract: Structure for detachably mounting a loader to a tractor or other mobile vehicle. An upright pedestal is carried at the rearward end of each loader boom arm for positioning in a receiving support carried on respective sides of the vehicle. Guide and following surfaces provided between the lower portions of each pedestal and support facilitate quick, positive engagement of the pedestal with its support. A transverse pin at the lower end of each receiving support provides a pivotable support for a downwardly opening bracket which is carried on each pedestal and is guided onto the pin by the guide and following surfaces. Engagement of the bracket on the pin horizontally locates the pedestal relative to the support and vertically positions alignable and releasable fastening structure carried between each pedestal and support.
