    Abstract: A method for detecting corrosion in a vessel comprising providing within the vessel a tube having a wall thickness selected to allow corrosion to penetrate fully through the tube before that amount of corrosion exceeds the corrosion allowance of the vessel, the tube comprising a pressure sensor to detect a change in the tube's internal pressure once the tube is penetrated by corrosion anywhere along its length.
