Abstract: A washing machine and operation control method thereof are disclosed, by which user's convenience is considerably enhanced in a manner of detecting a laundry amount and displaying the laundry amount of the laundry, a corresponding water level, a washing time and the like. The present invention includes an input unit (10) for selecting a washing course, a control unit (20) controlling a washing cycle in a manner of detecting a laundry amount of a laundry according to the selected washing cycle and calculating and deciding data values necessary for washing according to the detected laundry amount or based on a predefined washing algorithm, and a display unit (30) displaying progress information of the washing cycle according to the selected washing course on a plurality of areas by dividing the progress information according to contents of the progress information.

Abstract: A washing machine and control method thereof are disclosed. The washing machine comprises an input unit (100) for inputting control commands to control washing operations, a control unit (200) for controlling operations corresponding to the control commands and outputting state information messages expressed in a selected language, and a display unit (300) for displaying the state information messages expressed in the selected language. Consequently, in a nation where any one of the languages supported by the washing machine is spoken, washing operation messages can be displayed in that language through simple operations, thereby greatly increasing user convenience. In addition, a small LCD making up the display unit of the washing machine makes possible reduction of the area that the display unit occupies and display of an increased number of messages and thereby heightens price competitiveness and user convenience.

Abstract: Device and method for integrated management of rent out washing machines, for effective integrated management of rent out washing machines, in which the washing machines rent out to a particular place, such as dormitory, are managed of details of use for each user, and state information for each rent out washing machine by using a communication terminal (PC) or a managing server far from the washing machines. According to this, the central integrated management of the rent out washing machines by means of PC or server, not only resolves the inconvenience and difficulty in purchase, installation, and movement of the washing machine in a position of the users, but also enables to use washing machines of new models anytime. Moreover, a variety of requirements of the consumer can be met in a position of person in the business (manager), and in turn the person can enjoy increase of income.
