    Abstract: A display device includes a display panel, a dither table memory device, a dithering processor, and a display panel driver. The display panel includes a plurality of pixels. Dither tables are stored in the dither table memory device. The dithering processor selects a target dither table corresponding to a grayscale level of input data from among the plurality of dither tables and performs a dithering operation on the input data using the target dither table to generate dither data. The display panel driver drives the display panel based on the generated dither data.

    Abstract: A display device and method of adjusting luminance of a logo region of an image displayed on the same are disclosed. In one aspect, the display device includes a display panel configured to display an image including a logo region and a display driving integrated circuit configured to detect a logo estimate region of the image and determine a logo surrounding region that surrounds the logo estimate region. The integrated circuit is further configured to analyze a histogram of the logo surrounding region so as to determine a background maximum luminance, determine a high-gray-scale maximum luminance of the logo estimate region based on the background maximum luminance and adjust a gamma curve of the logo estimate region.

    Abstract: A display device includes a controller and a display panel. The controller receives original image data and output a display image signal. The display panel receives the display image signal and displays a display image corresponding to the display image signal. The controller includes an image shift controller and a memory. The image shift controller generates shifted image data by modulating the original image data to shift the display image sequentially along a preset shift path on the display panel. The memory stores a shift path value indicating a distance by which the display image has been shifted on the preset shift path. The image shift controller generates the display image signal by processing the shifted image data. When the display device is powered on, the image shift controller generates shifted image data corresponding to a shift path value stored in the memory.

The image data is then repeatedly multiplied by a gain initially corresponding to the start gain and sequentially decremented by a predetermined value from the start gain upon every multiplication until the gain corresponds to the end gain, to output corrected address data.
