    Abstract: A system for creating an enhanced ponytail, the ponytail bound with a tie to create a root portion adjacent to the scalp and a ponytail extending rearwardly from the tie, using a device having a front, a rear, a roof portion having front and rear arches at the front and rear, and a comb extending downward from the roof portion at and parallel to the front. The ponytail is apportioned into an upper selected portion and a lower remainder portion. The selected portion is inverted adjacent to the tie to extend forwardly across the tie, the comb is inserted downward through the inverted selected portion and into the root portion just forward of the tie, and the inverted selected portion is once again inverted to extend rearwardly over the roof portion, concealing the device and tie, and rejoining with the remainder portion.

The synthetic hair fibers are joined to the elastic band with a pair of connectors. The hair is inserted into the closed loop, and the device is tensioned around the hair with the synthetic hair fibers exposed in front of the person's head, and the elastic band extending around the back of the person's head, hidden beneath the person's hair.

  • Device for binding a ponytail having a natural hair appearance

    Abstract: A ponytail binding system, for use by a person having a ponytail having a ponytail end, using a device comprising synthetic hair fibers joined to an elastic band to form a closed loop. The synthetic hair fibers are joined to the elastic band with a pair of connectors. The ponytail is inserted into the closed loop, and the device is tensioned around the ponytail by twisting the closed loop and inserting the ponytail end into the secondary loop formed thereby. Once the device is suitably tensioned on the ponytail, the synthetic hair fibers are pulled over the elastic band so that the outward appearance of the device is formed solely by the synthetic hair fibers, which are selected so as to blend with the hair of the person.
