Abstract: A method for operating an Oracle Forms application using an alternative GUI (Graphical User Interface), the method comprising: providing a scenario file comprising a previously-intercepted communication between an Oracle Forms client and an Oracle Forms server; obtaining, from the alternative GUI, one or more input parameters associated with at least one user event of a session of the Oracle Forms server; preparing a new communication based on the scenario file and on the one or more input parameters; transmitting the new communication to the Oracle Forms server using a dispatcher component, thereby causing the Oracle Forms server to operate automatically and to output one or more output parameters; and displaying the one or more output parameters in the alternative GUI.
