    Abstract: An areaway drain cover with a top surface, a bottom surface, and a peripheral edge surface with a plurality of passages passing from the top surface to the bottom surface which allow water to pass through the passages while preventing leaves and debris from clogging the drain. The bottom surface also comprises a plurality of protrusions projecting downwardly from the bottom surface so that when the drain cover is placed over a drain, the protrusions allow the drain cover to be spaced horizontally above the surface on which the drain cover is resting so as to allow water to pass.
