  • Publication number: 20250186754
Abstract: Aspects of the present disclosure include polymeric structures having one or more polymeric microneedles. Polymeric structures according to certain embodiments exhibit a macrostructural change (e.g., exhibit elastic deformation) in response to an applied stimulus. In some embodiments. polymeric structures include a microarray of polymeric microneedles for delivering an active agent compound to a subject or for collecting a biological fluid sample from a subject. Methods for applying a polymeric structure having polymeric microneedles to a skin surface of a subject is also described. Methods for making the polymeric structures, such as by high resolution continuous liquid interface production is also provided. Kits having one or more of the subject polymeric structures are also described.

  • Publication number: 20070099626
Abstract: A system and method for determining and communicating the precise location of an individual and/or a motor vehicle in real-time is disclosed. As an example, a tracking system is disclosed that includes a Global Positioning System (GPS) receiver, a cellular phone, and a processing unit. The GPS receiver, cellular phone and processing unit are arranged as a single, compact tracking unit. The processing unit receives precise location information (e.g., latitudinal and longitudinal coordinates) for the tracking unit from the GPS receiver. A cellular phone capable of receiving text messages (e.g., and/or voice messages) can be used to call the cellular phone of the tracking unit, which responds (e.g., to an authenticated call) by transmitting a text message (e.g., or synthesized voice message) including the precise coordinates of the tracking unit.

  • Publication number: 20070086514
Abstract: An integrated power supply and communication device is presented. The integrated device provides power and communication access to an electronic appliance. The integrated device may be manufactured with a single power and communication input, reducing the amount of wiring and cabling often present with conventional modems. A plurality of electronic appliances can be networked over an existing power line communication (PLC) network. By using low and speed communication modules, more advanced electronic appliances can communicate with less sophisticated electronic appliances. The integrated device also allows access to other networks, such as a bridged network. The bridged network may then provide access to other, local area networks (LAN), local power networks, and the World Wide Web. The integrated device can be programmed and configured to be adapted to many different electronic devices, allowing user flexibility in setting up a PLC network.

  • Publication number: 20050289613
Abstract: A network based home audio/video control systems. In one embodiment, the system includes, a plurality of audio/video (A/V) devices, an A/V interface panel in communication with the plurality of A/V devices, a switching matrix and an access device. The switching matrix is adapted to selectively control connections between the plurality of A/V devices through the audio/video interface panel. The access device is adapted to receive directions and produce control signals based on the received directions. Moreover, the access device is in communication with the switching matrix to control the switching matrix.
