The method includes receiving a username of a user and a passcode for access to a secure account or device belonging to a user. The passcode is determined to be incorrect. Unauthorized access attempts with respect to the secure account or the device are determined based on based on the incorrect passcode and in response, a quality factor associated with the incorrect passcode with respect to the secure account or device is determined. The quality factor is compared to a threshold value. Security functions associated with the secure account or device with respect to the incorrect passcode and the results of the comparison are performed based on the quality factor and the unauthorized access attempts.

The server obtains the device identifier, marks a status of the device identifier as pending, and sends it to the device. The device sends an acknowledgment back to the server. The server then marks the status of the device identifier as in use and sends a confirmation to the device. The device starts to use the device identifier after receiving the confirmation.

Abstract: A method, system and computer-readable medium for an enhanced dependency resolver are disclosed. The dependency resolver collects dependency information for features of a rich client platform from a plurality of update sites; stores the dependency information for the features in a database; constructs a plurality of dependency trees using the dependency information of the database, wherein each of the plurality of dependency trees is rooted by a node representing an installable feature; selects an installable feature; identifies all nodes of a dependency tree rooted by the installable feature; determines which of the nodes require an adjacent node. If the node requires an adjacent node, the dependency resolver climbs the include tree of the adjacent node until a node of a second installable feature is found and records in the database that the second installable feature is required for the installation of the other installable feature.
