Abstract: A control system for a fuel supply pump of the kind having first and second valves to control the timing of fuel delivery and the quantity of fuel supplied includes a governor circuit for controlling the operation of the valves, a transducer which provides a signal representing the amount of displaceable fuel in the pump at the end of the filling stroke. The control system includes means for processing the signal provided by the transducer to take account of the engine speed so that the valve is open for the correct length of time.

Abstract: A control lever switch for providing steplessly adjustable control values, e.g. directional commands, for a plurality of outputs is based upon the provision of a number of electrodes in a spaced array around a control lever, these electrodes being capacitively coupled to a transmitter electrode which is carried by the control lever and which is adjustable via the control lever both radially and circumferentially of the electrode array. Preferably, four 90.degree. segment electrodes are provided, with a circular gap in the center, appropriately connected to two output channels to give, in a vehicle control system, both directional control and speed control in each channel. The electrode array and the transmitter electrode may be provided on respective opposite sides of a circuit board over which the transmitter electrode can slide easily.

Abstract: A motor control system for a pair of motors which drive respective wheels of a vehicle which is steered by controlling the relative speed of the motors includes switch means, and a pair of resistors which are connected in a series circuit including the motors, when no current is being supplied to the motors in order to provide electrical braking of the motors.
